The drawings and worksheets are free to reuse under CC BY 4.0. Here is how to credit them, and what the site itself relies on.
Drawings and worksheets
All drawings, labeled diagrams, hull views and printable worksheets on this site are original work, released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, print, adapt and share them, including in course handouts and club newsletters, as long as you give credit.
A credit line like this is enough: Drawing: Boat Anatomy (boatanatomy.com), CC BY 4.0. Link to the page you took it from if you can.
The licence covers the drawings and the site's own text. It does not cover the sources the site quotes; those remain their publishers' work and are cited, not reproduced.
What the site is built with
- Type: Archivo and Source Sans 3 on the pages; Bricolage Grotesque, Source Sans 3 and Geist Mono in the share images and the downloadable drawings. All are under the SIL Open Font License, and the pages load them from this site's own server.
- Software: Astro and Tailwind CSS. The drawing code is the site's own.
- Hosting: Cloudflare.
What is not reused
No builder's lines, course diagrams, infographics, 3D models or photographs are used or traced. Facts and systems of measurement are free to use; particular drawings are not, which is why every drawing here is made from scratch.
